Theater: Gossip in the Stairwell

When more talking than walking happens in the stairwell, it’s theater time again in Premstätten. With "GOSSIP – In the Stairwell," the Theater Kultur Premstätten presents a farce in two acts by Jens Exler on the stage of the cultural hall at Hauptstraße 95, 8141 Premstätten, Styria. The focus is on a completely normal apartment building. Yet behind every door, small secrets, big misunderstandings, and plenty of conversation topics await. What starts as a harmless exchange between neighbors quickly grows into a dense web of rumors. One word leads to another. And suddenly, the whole building is turned upside down. The play thrives on fast-paced dialogues, subtle humor, and characters familiar from everyday life. There’s whispering, eavesdropping, and piecing things together, sometimes with surprising consequences. It is this perspective on interpersonal relationships that makes the evening so appealing.
