The Westerberg is not only a testament to bourgeois splendor: it offers much more than elegant villas. Here, the first municipal hospital was established, and the first drinking water reservoir provided the citizens of Osnabrück with fresh water. Many of the stones from historical buildings in the old town also come from the local stone quarry, where the Botanical Garden is located today. The "Hohe Mauer," the town hall, the Caprivi barracks, the writer Erich-Maria Remarque, and Strasbourg Square, to name just a few – there is much more to discover on this city tour…!
