Opening hike Neckarsteig 2026

Look forward to a varied hike along the Neckarsteig!
We will start at 10:00 AM at the Nature Park Center Neckartal-Odenwald (Kellereistr. 36, 69412 Eberbach). From here, the group will embark on a tour of approximately 12.5 km with about 416 meters of elevation gain.
We plan to take around 4.5 to 5 hours for the route, including a cozy break.
The path will first take us through Eberbach along the beautiful riverside promenade, then through the Gretengrund and past Igelsbach. At the Steinernen Tisch and the Hoppe-Hütte, you can take a short break and enjoy nature. Finally, you will reach Hirschhorn with its impressive Schloss Hirschhorn and the picturesque old town of Hirschhorn along the Neckarsteig.
The destination of your hike is the Café am Rathaus (Hauptstr. 17, 69434 Hirschhorn). There, a delightful conclusion awaits us: coffee with special roasts, accompanied by small snacks and a fine selection of beverages. Perfect for winding down after a day of hiking.
You will be accompanied by hiking guide Richard Köhler, a local guide for the Neckartal in the Geo-Naturpark Bergstraße-Odenwald, as well as a city and castle guide for the town of Hirschhorn, who will provide us with exciting insights into the region along the way.
