Open Gate - District Peine - District Peine

We invite you to a guided tour from 2:00 PM to approximately 3:30 PM, starting and ending at the Kreishaus II. The Climate Protection Agency will explain the design of the perennial beds and green spaces around the district-owned buildings on Werner-Nordmeyer-Straße and will also discuss how to adapt gardens to the effects of climate change. This year, the event takes place later in the season, when the blooming of various asters begins, along with many other perennial species such as scented nettle and mountain mint. Last autumn, two areas with wildflower sowing were newly added to the green space at Kreishaus II. After the tour, there will be an open gathering on the terrace with benches by the flood ditch next to Kreishaus II, where participants can continue chatting and discussing over some coffee and cake. Informational materials will also be available to take home.
