The animal and ecological garden is an extracurricular learning location. Kindergarten children and students of various age groups plant and sow in the spring and harvest in the autumn. The animals are petted and fed by the children daily. Various habitats are available for teaching: the pond, the dry stone wall, medicinal and culinary herbs, gravel hills, and fallow land. Honey bees and solitary insects are cared for, with nesting sites and food sources provided. In June, one can observe the sheep shearing and experience wool processing. Those who wish can even take some wool home.
