Open Gate District Peine - Weiden Church Wendeburg

Since 2006, the Willow Church, named after Friedrich Spee, has stood in Wendeburg. It is a very lively church made of willow branches, accessible in all directions and for everyone at any time. Many baptisms, weddings, and services have already been celebrated here. It is a church that has no doors and certainly no locks, only the sky above, the clouds, the shine of the sun, and the glow of the stars at night. On August 16, 2026, we warmly invite you to the gate again! From 12 to 4 PM, our Willow Church will be baking bread for everyone. There is also the opportunity to bring your own bread dough, which will be baked in the wood oven! There will be time to chat and linger. At 2 PM, a service will take place, followed by coffee and cake! The team from the Willow Church looks forward to many interested visitors and is happy to provide information.
