In the front yard, a wooden terrace is dominated by a natural canopy of four plane trees, framed by grasses, lavender, and many insect-friendly perennials. The lovingly designed garden, created in 2016, features numerous early bloomers, various bee-friendly plants, large-leaved magnolias, shrubs, and many hydrangeas, inviting visitors to linger. In summer, impressive double lilies spread their fragrance. A small pond with carnivorous plants, adjacent to a giant rhubarb and hardy bananas, is located at the back of the garden. A special highlight is the tropical plants with stunning leaves that magnificently occupy part of the garden in summer. New additions include a bee tree, an adjacent deadwood corner, and nesting boxes for bats.
