Forget-me-not day

We are participating in the Forget-Me-Not planting campaign against the forgetting of people with dementia. This day gives us the opportunity to raise awareness for this condition and to emphasize the importance of understanding and mindfulness in our society. With this action, we are making a visible statement of solidarity and remembrance – for the people affected by dementia, but also for the relatives who often live with this challenge every day. We want to give those affected a sense of appreciation, care, and respect, and together we want to set a strong sign of solidarity. Each of us can contribute to ensuring that no one stands in the shadow of forgetfulness! From March 1 to March 18, a Forget-Me-Not plant can be purchased at the tourism office in the flower hall for a donation. The plants will be collected, and the city of Wiesmoor will create a flowerbed with a sign on March 19 on the main street. The donations will be handed over to the Alzheimer Society Aurich/Ostfriesland e.V.
