Stars of Blues & Boogie Woogie

A musical highlight not only for blues and boogie fans! Axel Zwingenberger and Martin Pyrker triggered the piano blues and boogie boom in Europe in 1976 with the Boogie-Woogie Session 76 live in Vienna at the sold-out Wiener Konzerthaus, a phenomenon that continues to this day. With his uniquely fast boogies, Axel fills concert halls like Carnegie Hall and the Hamburg Philharmonic. Few other Europeans can match Martin's authentic and deeply moving blues pieces. Together with his daughter Sabine Pyrker (known from Martin Grubinger's percussion ensemble) and brother Torsten Zwingenberger on drums, the highly acclaimed and also legendary Mojo Blues Band (Eric Trauner, Daniel Ecklbauer, Siggi Fassl, Herfried Knapp, Didi Mattersberger), as well as the young charming duo Bonaventura Amann and Cili Marsall (piano/clarinet/vocals), the 11 musicians will surely make the Brucknerhaus resonate. Additionally, we will present as surprise guests from international Lions music competitions the young and highly talented Magdalena Rogic on violin and the also exceptionally gifted Jonas Gassner on trombone. Both will also surprise during the final session.
