29th Dragon Festival in Iba

The Dragon Festival in Bebra-Iba is one of the most atmospheric kite events in the region and invites visitors of all ages to a colorful sky spectacle. It is organized by the Kite Club Waldhessen at the spacious flying area at Sandkaute – with a view of the Waldhessen landscape surrounding the World Key.

What can you expect?
Traditionally, hobbyists and professional flyers showcase a wide variety of kites at the Dragon Festival:
• Colorful large kites and wind toys
• Historical kite models
• Stunt kites and single-line shows
• Rokkaku battles and interactive activities for children and families

As always, the Ibaer partner clubs will provide food and drinks, along with the legendary cake buffet.

Tip:
As in previous years, numerous kite enthusiasts from all over Germany are expected, along with impressive kite figures and – if wind conditions are favorable – spectacular flight shows.

The flying area is located in Bebra-Iba at Sandkaute. Access routes are signposted.

There is ample parking available. The parking fee is €3, and admission is free!
