Deafheaven

Deafheaven was originally founded in San Francisco and consists of singer George Clarke, guitarists Kerry McCoy and Shiv Mehra, bassist Christopher Johnson, and drummer Daniel Tracy. The band gained significant recognition with their groundbreaking album "Sunbather" released in 2013, which redefined the boundaries of heavy music and secured a prestigious place on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time" and Pitchfork's "200 Best Albums of the 2010s." In 2015, Deafheaven once again challenged the conventions of the genre with "New Bermuda," earning great acclaim, while their 2018 album "Ordinary Corrupt Human Love" brought the band their first GRAMMY nomination in the category of "Best Metal Performance." The ever-evolving band continued their evolution with the 2021 album "Infinite Granite," impressing with a refinement that aimed for richer textures and buoyant melodies. Revered for their transcendental live shows, Deafheaven has toured around the world, performed at festivals like Coachella and Primavera Sound, and shared the stage with artists such as Slipknot, Knocked Loose, Chelsea Wolfe, and Mono.
