The time is out of joint, curse and grief That I came to set it right in the world. When Prince Hamlet returns to Denmark, nothing is as it was before. His father, the king, is dead. His mother has recently married the brother of her deceased husband. This man conducts state affairs, deciding the future of the land and its people. One night, the ghost of young Hamlet's dead father appears to him, accusing his own brother of murder and urging Hamlet to take revenge, causing Hamlet's world to completely unravel. In the struggle to restore order and justice, Hamlet steadfastly fights against a system of corruption, lies, and deceit. Is his mother still by his side? – or is she even entangled in the murder plot? Does Ophelia love him or is she spying on him? Who can still be trusted here? Hamlet doubts everything and everyone, and he becomes increasingly desperate about himself.
