Catwalk For Future - Jungle Vienna

Originally, "catwalk" referred to narrow walkways or bridges on construction sites and shipyards. Workers moved unsecured and with heavy loads across these paths at dizzying heights. Who do the fashion runways, which we now know as catwalks, endanger? Under what circumstances is the clothing on our bodies created? And what happens to it when we sort it out? What journeys have our sneakers taken, and where will they go? What would a T-shirt say if it could talk? With their own music, sounds, lyrics, and rap texts, the performers find answers to these questions. CATWALK FOR FUTURE combines live art and live music for the runway. The concert performance is a test run to see if and how fashion can be a medium of transformation that brings ideas into the world and expresses visions of the future. On Saturday, May 16, the participants of the theater workshop will present their work as part of the FESTIVAL OF THEATER WORKSHOPS. The premiere of the production will take place on Saturday, June 20. The final performance will be part of the WILD & BEAUTIFUL FESTIVAL.
