Paul Schuberth and Carles Muñoz Camarero have been friends for a long time, but now they also form a musical duo. The combination of cello and accordion creates a special warmth in the sound. The cello can conjure lyrical melodies or compellingly accompany with rhythm. The accordion can draw delicate lines as well as make orchestral statements. However, Carles also masters the nyckelharpa, a rare Swedish instrument related to the hurdy-gurdy, which has been part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage since 2023. Together, Schuberth and Camarero explore the realms of jazz, classical music, and Nordic folk. They rely not only on traditional songs and jazz standards but also on original compositions of their own.
