Join us on May 23 at 8:00 PM in the atmospheric Resurrection Church in Vienna for an evening featuring Antonio Vivaldi's famous cycle "The Four Seasons" in a unique interpretation by contemporary composer Max Richter, performed by the extraordinary Mystery Ensemble. Max Richter is the composer of music for dozens of feature films and documentaries. The European Film Academy named him Best Film Composer in 2008. He transformed Antonio Vivaldi's music in the spirit of minimalism and postmodernism. "Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons" is one of Richter's most well-known works. After its release in 2012, the recording topped the iTunes classical charts in over 20 countries. Max Richter has released 12 solo albums and has performed at venues including the Barbican Centre in London, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Sydney Opera House, and the Concertgebouw. His projects include the Sum Opera and the ballet "Infra" (choreographed by Wayne McGregor) at the Royal Opera House. Richter's music can be heard worldwide in numerous performances as well as in the films "Shutter Island" by Martin Scorsese, "Perfect Sense" (original title: "Last Love on Earth") by David Mackenzie, and "Waltz with Bashir," for which he was awarded "Best Composer" by the European Film Academy.
