PLUS ULTRA! MY HERO ACADEMIA IN CONCERT CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF SUCCESS WITH A GRAND EUROPEAN TOUR
Toho Animation, GEA Live, RBK Fusion & RoadCo Entertainment announce My Hero Academia in Concert: a new live music experience that will come to Germany and Austria as part of its European tour in 2026. In Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Berlin, the concert brings the power, emotion, and iconic music of the celebrated superhero anime to the stage for the first time in an exhilarating live format, marking a special highlight in the franchise's anniversary year.
On a giant screen, the most impressive moments of the series will be showcased, synchronized with a top-notch live ensemble. The electrifying film music by composer Yuki Hayashi comes to life, featuring fan favorites like "You Say Run" and "You Can Be a Hero."
My Hero Academia in Concert is based on the successful manga by Kōhei Horikoshi, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, grossed more than 130 million US dollars at the box office, and captivated a global fanbase with over 4.3 million followers on social media. The concert series will premiere on May 30, 2026, at the Pacifico Yokohama in Japan and will then head to the USA and Europe in the fall. Music and visuals merge into an emotional live experience that makes the triumphs, conflicts, and significant moments of the series from the past ten years come alive again.
"Bringing this music to the stage live changes the way the audience experiences the series," says Floris Douwes, Producer and Managing Director at GEA Live. "Hayashi's compositions not only accompany the storyline; they drive the emotions and intensify every single moment of the show."
The concert is both a tribute to long-time fans and a welcome to new viewers. "We are very excited to bring the world of My Hero Academia to life in a completely new way," adds a spokesperson from TOHO. "This concert gives fans the opportunity to experience the music, action, and heart of the series live, creating unforgettable moments for audiences worldwide."
Ten years after the anime debut in April 2016, My Hero Academia reaches a special milestone in 2026. Alongside an official anniversary logo, a special teaser visual, and the announcement of a new extra episode, the worldwide concert tour marks another highlight of this anniversary year.
The story is set in a world where most people possess superpowers, known as "Quirks." The focus is on Izuku Midoriya, who is born without special abilities but dreams of becoming a hero like his idol All Might. When he inherits All Might's Quirk and is accepted into U.A. High School, his journey begins—shaped by training, responsibility, and the battle between heroes and villains.
