The Sound of Hans Zimmer & John Williams - Season 26/27

With music from blockbusters like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Interstellar, Indiana Jones, The Dark Knight, Schindler's List, The Rock, and others, Hans Zimmer has achieved something incredible: The German composer worked behind the scenes in Hollywood for decades, barely visible to the general public – and yet he has become as famous as a rock star. His outstanding soundtracks contributed to many films becoming blockbusters: from "The Lion King" to "Gladiator," "Interstellar," and "Dune."

Only one living film composer is as famous as he is: the great John Williams. The American has been nominated for the Oscar an astonishing 54 times – winning the award five times – and there is likely no more famous melody in the entire history of film than his fanfare for "Star Wars." These two composers have created a wealth of brilliant music that everyone knows, evoking nostalgic memories for film viewers – and that generates strong emotions even without moving images.

So it’s no surprise that "The Sound of Hans Zimmer & John Williams" has been a crowd-puller for years, filling concert halls in the German-speaking world. In November 2026, the project will return with a new program – featuring new musical highlights, orchestral power, and nostalgic imagery that makes film history audible.
