From New Zealand to Germany to Connecticut. An evening full of hooks, groove, and wanderlust spans three musical styles: cinematic alternative pop, ethereal indie dream, and nomadic rock energy. Balu Brigada creates multifaceted alternative pop with lush live instrumentation, cinematic production, and festival-ready hooks. Henry and Pierre Beasley – brothers born in Auckland, New Zealand, co-singers, co-songwriters, and co-producers – symbolically step through a sonic portal with their music.
Since their school days, they have independently honed their sound before signing a contract with Warner Music Australia, Atlantic Music Group, and ARRO Records in the USA. With the EPs "I Should Be Home" (2022) and "Find A Way" (2023), the duo sharpened their profile, led by the fan favorite "Designer," which has garnered over 26 million streams on Spotify. Media outlets like Rolling Stone, Coup de Main, i-D, and OnesToWatch have celebrated the band, with People even naming them "Best New Artist."
Twenty One Pilots also took Balu Brigada on their extensive "Clancy Tour" across North and Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK as special guests. With the track "So Cold," the duo finally broke through: over 34 million streams and their first #1 on US radio (Alternative). They made their late-night debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on American Broadcasting Company with an impressive performance of the song. It also found a spot on the official soundtrack for FIFA 25, while SiriusXM highlighted it as a "Critical Cut."
After hundreds of millions of streams and sold-out shows, the band is igniting the next level with their debut album "Portal," launched by the single "Backseat."
