A full-day village festival with craft demonstrations awaits visitors at the village square. The festival begins at 10:00 AM with a festive mass on the festival stage under the 1000-year-old lime tree. The procession of traditional clubs will also take place, accompanied by a small brass group.
After the festive mass, the mayor will officially open the festival and perform the tapping of the Stiegl beer.
At 11:00 AM, a tour of the festival grounds will start, followed by a concert by the Faistenau traditional music band at various locations. Throughout the day, there will be musical entertainment, including performances by the Emaus disciples, who will present traditional brass music on historical instruments.
The Faistenau folk song choir will perform several folk songs and yodels. Everyone is warmly invited to try their talent and sing along during the open singing and yodeling session at 12:30 PM on the festival stage.
At 1:15 PM, the traditional dance under the lime tree will take place, organized by the local club "Zur Alten Linde."
At the stalls, there will be demonstrations of old crafts and farming arts such as knitting, making rakes, sharpening knives, binding alpine wreaths, feather quill stitching, basket weaving, carpet weaving, and porcelain painting.
The church path with the open museum in the shooting range invites exploration, and there is an extensive children's program for the little guests. The wooden skittle alley, alpacas, and horse-drawn carriage rides will also bring excitement.
As a sporting attraction, the traditional "Fuaßhakl" competition for young and old will take place on the festival stage in the afternoon.
Culinary delights are well taken care of. At the Faistenau gourmet street, visitors can enjoy alpine burgers, smoked Faistenau trout, cheese noodles, suckling pig, game from the Faistenau forest, doughnuts, and Pofesen, as well as homemade juices and schnapps, rounding off the Faistenau Harvest Festival appropriately.
The event will be held as a green event, and visitors are requested to arrive without cars if possible to contribute to climate protection. Bus connections can be checked on the website salzburg-verkehr.at. A shuttle service will transport visitors from the parking lots and bus stops to the festival grounds.
