"Playing the violin in Stattegg"

The "Aufgeigen" in Stattegg in 2026 is entirely dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Styrian Violin Day. From May 8, 2026, to May 9, 2026, the Lässerhof in Stattegg will become a meeting point for violinists and folk music enthusiasts from Styria. Together with the Styrian Folk Song Association, the municipality of Stattegg invites you to a folk music seminar focused entirely on the violin. The Violin Day has left many traces in Stattegg. Generations of musicians have learned, rehearsed, and played together here. This anniversary builds on that legacy. The focus will be on qualified instruction, making music together in small groups, and exchanging ideas with like-minded individuals. Experienced musicians will lead the course with a keen sense of style and tradition of Styrian folk music. The Lässerhof provides the perfect setting for this. Amidst hills and meadows, an atmosphere is created where music flows easily. Pieces from the region, new arrangements, and ensemble playing are on the agenda. There will be rehearsals, fine-tuning, and laughter. On Saturday, the courtyard will open for the grand "Aufgeigen." With free admission, everyone is invited to listen in. The evening event will bring seminar participants and guests together. Thus, Stattegg will become the vibrant center of the Graz experience region in Styria for two days.
