Visit of the Hundertwasser ship "Regentag"

In 2026, the legendary Hundertwasser ship REGENTAG will reopen its doors to visitors at the guest harbor in Tulln. This floating artwork, which once served as the home and artistic headquarters of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, invites exclusive tours.

• Tours are only available in small groups of a maximum of 5 people. Therefore, there may be waiting times.
• The ship is not barrier-free and is to be visited at your own risk.

A floating masterpiece
The REGENTAG, originally a Sicilian-Tunisian transport ship, was transformed into a unique work of art by Hundertwasser between 1968 and 1974. Seven years of work turned the ship into a creative, asymmetrical vision – an early example of Hundertwasser's architectural creation. After adventurous journeys through the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, the REGENTAG found its permanent berth in the guest harbor in Tulln in 2004. Since 2015, it has been a protected monument and underwent extensive restoration between 2018 and 2024.

The ship provides visitors with an authentic impression of Hundertwasser's life and work during his travels. As his long-time home, studio, and first architectural vision, the REGENTAG tells the story of art, individuality, and the spirit of one of the most significant Austrian artists of the 20th century.
