The BIG Brass & Rhythm BAND FREISTADT can now look back on over 30 years of experience. This emotionally touching program, which largely follows the musical trails of Astor Piazzolla, is certainly one of the highlights for the local Big Band. The characteristic sound of Argentine Tango is, of course, an essential part of this performance. As a “Special Guest,” Manuela Kloibmüller on accordion adds a virtuosic flair. The versatile artist is not only a sought-after musician but also makes waves as a director.

In addition to numerous highlights of “Tango Nuevo,” the program is garnished with colorful and sweat-inducing arrangements from Eastern Europe. Visitors can expect a musical fireworks display of a special kind in the enchanting atmosphere of the “Pienkenhof.”
