Visiting the Saffron Farm
Saffron – the "red gold from Leogang" is more than just a spice: it represents passion, craftsmanship, and alpine quality from the Salzburg region. At the Ottinghof in Leogang, the Mayrhofer and Wölfler families cultivate organic saffron on carefully maintained plots, with each individual flower being harvested and dried by hand – a labor-intensive process that creates the special color, intense aroma, and extraordinary flavor of this premium product.

Duration: approx. 1.5 hours (in any weather)
Cost: included with the Saalfelden Leogang Card, without Saalfelden Leogang Card 10,- Euro per person
