Concert in the Spitalkirche - Thomas Scheytt - Piano Solo

Blues & Boogie Woogie classics and original compositions Thomas Scheytt is considered "one of the best contemporary boogie and blues pianists. His playing combines great pianistic skill with an incredible, deeply felt variety of expression" (Jazzpodium Deutschland). On Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., he will be performing blues and boogie-woogie classics and his own compositions at the Spitalkirche in Breisach. Scheytt is one of the busiest musicians on the European blues and boogie scene. For over 20 years, he has been performing not only as a soloist but also with his trio Boogie Connection in jazz clubs and at festivals in Germany and abroad – four times at the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona alone. Scheytt has received numerous awards. He gained particular recognition when his CD Blues Colours was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award and when he won the German Blues Award twice in 2015.
