Endangered butterflies—an excursion into the world of meadows

On an excursion, we will search for different butterfly species in meadows and forest edges, explain the relationship between food plants and insects, and highlight ways to improve their living conditions. Almost all native butterfly species are threatened with extinction. Habitat destruction, environmental toxins, and the climate crisis are responsible for insect decline. The decline of species-rich meadows and forest edges is particularly problematic for butterflies. On the excursion, we will search for different butterfly species in meadows and forest edges.
