Schedule
5:30 PM: Presentation 1: Phenomena of Quantum Physics and the Technologies of Tomorrow.
An introduction to quantum physics and the technologies of tomorrow that utilize quantum physics.
Mirela Selimovic, University of Vienna, Faculty of Physics, Quantum Information Science and Quantum Computing / zerothird GmbH
"Quantum physics describes natural phenomena that elude our everyday understanding: measurement results are fundamentally random, observations influence the behavior of systems, and distant objects can be surprisingly interconnected. In this talk, you will hear how these unusual properties are being purposefully utilized today, particularly in quantum communication, and why quantum physics is not only a successful theory but also a driving force behind modern technologies. This is revealed through experiments, observations, and collective reflection."
Quantum Physics Experiments to Marvel At
See for yourself how these famous experiments work – and what they reveal about nature.
Simon Hüttner, Physics Education, PH Upper Austria

6:30 PM: Presentation 2: Beyond Zero and One: How Quantum Computers Transform the Laws of Physics into Computational Power.
Nina Brandl, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Institute for Integrated Circuits and Quantum Computing
"What happens when we stop merely taming the laws of nature and instead start calculating directly with them? While classical computers are based on electrical circuits and the rigid logic of zero and one, quantum computers utilize the fundamental hardware of nature. In this talk, you will learn how phenomena such as superposition, entanglement, and interference form the basis of a completely new computing architecture. You will discover how quantum bits expand classical logic, which problems quantum computers can solve particularly efficiently, and what challenges still remain."
7:00 PM: More Quantum Physics Experiments to Marvel At

Mehrere auswählen…
Planning takes too much time
Too expensive
Ich finde eigentlich immer etwas
Something else
