CHRISTMAS OPERA GALA INTERNATIONAL SOLOISTS OPERA IN THE MOUNTAINS FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA Musical Direction: PROF. HANS HÄRLE Since 2008, the Opera in the Mountains Festival has been under the patronage of world star Grace Bumbry and in homage to Luciano Pavarotti for outstanding voices, which are engaged from the annual Grandi Voci competition, and for classical direction and wonderful opera productions, which are now rarely encountered. For several years, the festival has taken place in the Great Hall, Salzburg's oldest opera theater (400 years), where Mozart premiered his first opera!
