He hasn't seen her since their separation nine years ago; Japanese family law has prevented any contact. When he is about to give up and return to France, a girl gets into his taxi. Suddenly, Jay thinks he recognizes Lily in her… Guillaume Senez refers to the Japanese "Continuation" rule, according to which only the parent with whom the child lives receives custody – often without the possibility of visitation rights for the other parent.
