Workshop with Willy Puchner
At the beginning, Willy Puchner shows how to engage with nature—not with the aim of capturing it, but with attention. A field hare is present. It sits there, quite naturally, reminding us of how little is needed to simply be.
Then we dive into the silence of the castle garden. Each participant begins their own nature journal. Leaves, lines, words, traces. For one hour, we will draw, note, and collect in the castle garden. What is seen, what is heard, what may only be felt.
The nature journal grows page by page, like a walk without a destination.
At the end, we come together again. Anyone who wishes can share something from their nature journal over tea and pastries. Those seeking tranquility can stay longer and continue sketching.
Speaker: Willy Puchner is a photographer, artist, illustrator, and author. He lives in Oberschützen and travels frequently. In 2022, he was awarded the Austrian Art Prize for Children's and Youth Literature.
