AZURE is here! After "Caramel" [2020] and "Chrome" [2021], now comes AZURE. With this, the musical triplets from Ulrich Drechsler's large, multi-disciplinary music forge LIMINAL ZONE are finally complete. In search of new forms of expression, work began in 2018 on a club format that would unite all the ideas and inspirations gathered over decades and be fully realizable live. Positioned at the threshold between electronic club music, trip hop, dancefloor trance, drum and bass, jazz blasts, and film music. The work on AZURE took nearly 5 years. A tremendous amount of music was written, discarded, new line-ups were tried and questioned again, and a variety of instruments were experimented with. In a long, intense creative process, Ulrich developed the vision of music in which all elements, nuances, and sounds come together to form the soundtrack of an imaginary blockbuster. Two formats of AZURE emerged: the dramatic quintet and the bone-shaking trio. Like a force of nature, the AZURE Trio takes the stage and claims to define its very own concept of club sound. A thrill for the audience. People will dance, discover the infinite, and sink into it. With AZURE, Ulrich once again consciously and boldly seeks to escape all common styles and genres. He is foreign to box thinking, just as was the case with the two highly acclaimed sibling projects "Caramel" and "Chrome," each in their own individual way. The Tyrolean drummer Raphael Keuschnigg and the Viennese bass icon Oliver Steger form the foundation of AZURE. Together, they deliver the bone-shaking, relentless beats and basses that keep listeners on their feet. Ulrich's saxophones weave soaring anthems, trance-like rhythms, and soundscapes above, below, and in between, allowing everything to merge together. Welcome to AZURE!!
