Dreyfus Affair

For a decade now, the band Affäre Dreyfuss has stood for energetic live performances, captivating melodies, and a distinctive musical signature. With their unique mix of hard bop, groove, and modern jazz, the group has secured a firm place in the Austrian music scene over the past ten years, winning the hearts of a steadily growing audience. For their anniversary, they are now presenting their second album "Going Places," which represents a sonic evolution and also serves as a musical travel diary: the original compositions convey impressions from distant countries and continents mixed with influences from a century of jazz history. The result is a mix full of energy and timeless melodies that make the spirit of exploration and joy of playing audible and tangible.

The band was founded in 2015 by brothers Dominik (trumpet & flugelhorn) and Florian (saxophones & flute), as well as their father Martin Fuss (saxophones), and has stood out from the beginning with its unique sound and charismatic stage presence. Since the formation of the sextet, Max Tschida (piano), Johannes Strasser (bass), and Mario Gonzi (drums) have perfectly complemented the ensemble. In a decade filled with successes, challenges, and unforgettable moments, Affäre Dreyfuss has achieved numerous milestones: from the release of their first album "In Good Company," which is played on rotation as far away as the USA (Florida), to sold-out performances at the Jazzfest Wien, MM Jazzfestival St. Pölten, live on Ö1, and concert tours across the provinces.
