I'm going with my lantern | Family tour for grandparents and grandchildren

To maintain life in a medieval castle, many different skills and knowledge were required.

Today, we illuminate the castle with our (Martin's) lanterns and closely examine what there is to discover in all corners of the castle. Of course, we also try to find the representation of St. Martin, which is not so easy in the dark. Our castle lord and night watchman Georg will surely show you the right way.

In the Middle Ages, one could not simply use a light switch to make it bright or turn up the heating to make it warm. What tools did the castle dwellers have? For example, how did they make fire without a lighter, and what precautions did they need to take to prevent a castle fire? Will you also find our fire bucket and the night watchman's lantern? We are curious.
