"For most of history, Anonymous was a woman." Sonja Leipold, one of the most versatile harpsichordists in the country, takes Virginia Woolf's reference to the fate of female artists in the past as an opportunity to present music by significant Baroque composers in dialogue with contemporary colleagues and poems by Ingeborg Bachmann in her solo program. Music by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Marianne Martinez, or Anna Bon di Venezia, as well as our contemporaries Elisabeth Harnik, Anna Arkushyna, Nava Hemyari, and Laura Manolache.
