Gala performance of the Spanish Riding School Vienna

A unique, equestrian treat of a special kind is set to take place in the anniversary year 20.16. On December 17th and 18th, the Spanish Riding School of Vienna will present its magnificent Lipizzaner stallions in the Salzburg Arena with two gala performances.

An incredible 46 years have passed since the last appearance of the White Ballet in the city of Mozart, until horsedeluxe event GmbH succeeded this year in securing this revival for the anniversary year Salzburg 20.16.

The precision and elegance of the harmonious movements of horse and rider, along with their apparent lightness, continually enchant horse lovers from all over the world. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Classical Riding Art of the Spanish Riding School has been recognized as an intangible, international UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity since December 2015.

The training team of the Spanish Riding School will present all the gaits and movements of the High School in two separate gala performances, showcasing the "School on the Ground" with pirouettes, piaffes, and passages, as well as the "School Above the Ground" with levades, caprioles, and courbettes.

This performance of the graceful Lipizzaner stallions in the pre-Christmas Mozart city of Salzburg offers all horse enthusiasts, young and old, a wonderful opportunity to experience the deep connection between horse and rider up close.
