David is one of the most impressive and multifaceted personalities in biblical history. From the brave shepherd boy to the anointed king, he is revered as a hero, poet, musician, and human being.
In this program "David," the various facets of the "Lover" are illuminated through works by Heinrich Schütz, Andrea Gabrieli, Johann Sebastian Bach, Eric Whitacre, Cyrillus Creek, and Arvo Pärt.

The Chor Ad Libitum sings music "at will" – and they love to do so. The programs include music from all styles, from a cappella pieces to large choir-orchestral works, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary music. The choir is among the most sought-after ensembles of its kind in Austria.

Heinz Ferlesch founded the Chor Ad Libitum in 1993 in his hometown of St. Valentin. He is also the artistic director of the Vienna Singakademie and conductor of the original sound orchestra Barucco. He and his ensembles are active in both national and international music scenes.
