Kasroas to the Rottenhof Hut – Zwieselalm

With Betty on a guided hike for cheese tasting! The adventure begins with a ride on the Gosaukammbahn cable car up to Zwieselalm at 1470m. The Zwieselalm is a vast alpine area that stretches across two federal states.

Passing by old alpine pastures, we head towards Gosaunetplatzerl, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountain backdrop of the Hoher Dachstein, Gosaukamm, Großglockner, and Untersberg.

At the Rottenhofhütte, there are 10 different types of cheese (hard cheese, soft cheese) to taste, along with homemade butter, sourdough bread, and whey.

The return journey takes us back through a beautiful low moor to the mountain station of the Gosaukammbahn.

Meeting point: 10:00 AM at the valley station of the Gosaukammbahn – Duration until approximately 4:00 PM
Pure walking time: 3 hours
Equipment: Backpack with drink, sturdy footwear, hiking poles if needed

Cost per person: €79, including cable car ride and cheese tasting
Children: €24, including cable car ride without tasting, as kids often do not want cheese.
