Founded in 2005 in Italy by drummer GP Ennas and bassist King Claudio, Wicked Dub Division (WDD) is one of the most distinctive live dub acts in Europe – a band that transforms roots reggae into a hypnotic, minimalist, and deeply immersive sound experience.

After a series of early vinyl releases for the soundsystem scene, the group debuted in 2011 with "Wadada." A new creative chapter began in 2014 with the addition of Michela Grena on vocals and Massimiliano Peak on the dub live set, marking a bold evolution of the band's style: warm, spiritual tones merged with deep bass, echo, and contemporary minimalism.

Following the project "The Rootical Dub Session" – a tribute to classic roots reggae, reinterpreted through dub – WDD released "Dub Drops" (2015), featuring standout tracks like "Autumn Drops" and "How Many Women." The success of the album led to major performances in Italy and Europe, including at the Rototom Sunsplash, as well as support slots for Twinkle Brothers, Dub Inc, and 99 Posse. In the same year, their song "New Slavery" won the Critics' Award at Amnesty International Italy's "Voices for Freedom" competition.

Their follow-up album "Red" (2016) continued the sonic journey, preceded by the singles "Freedom" and "Roots and Wings." In 2017, WDD released the 12” single "Lion" (Roots Cooperation) and the collaborative hit "Mama" with the North East Ska Jazz Orchestra – a song that went viral and reached nearly 22 million YouTube views, paving the way for further collaborations, including the single "You Can Fly" (2019).

Between 2016 and 2018, singer Michela Grena also toured internationally with Zion Train and performed at major festivals such as the HeartBeat Festival (Mexico), Uprising (Slovakia), and the ZT30 Tour (Italy).

In 2019, WDD released "Deepest," followed by the single "Revolutionary Souls" (2020), solidifying their reputation for combining consciousness-oriented roots sound with innovative dub production. The collaborative live album with the North East Ska Jazz Orchestra, "Live Studio Session #1" (2022), led to performances on significant European stages, including the Pol’and’Rock Festival 2023 – one of the largest festivals in Europe with over 700,000 attendees – where their show was voted one of the best of the edition.

In 2024, the band continues its European tour, with stops in Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, and Italy, while advancing new studio projects. Their latest singles "Ubuntu" and "Not in My Name," featuring UK MC YT, mark the beginning of a new creative cycle.

Wicked Dub Division consists of:
Michela Grena (vocals/melodica), GP Ennas (drums), King Claudio (bass), Massimiliano Peak (dub live set).
