For more than twenty years, sisters Bianca Casady and Sierra Casady have been among the most influential voices in the experimental pop avant-garde. With their project CocoRosie, they have created a distinctive sound world that continues to inspire and influence numerous artists today. On their eighth studio album "Little Death Wishes," released in March 2025, CocoRosie unfolds a multifaceted panorama of the small and large longings of life. In kaleidoscopic songs, they tell of the intergenerational resilience of women, the torn realities of their lives, and the fragile yet precious nature of being human. It addresses the injustices that love can sometimes bring forth – and perhaps the greatest desire of all: to remain unbroken.

At the threshold between farewell and new beginnings stands the album's most existential song: "Cut Stitch Scar." Written by Bianca Casady during a phase of deep heartbreak, the piece revolves around the difficult beginning of mourning. Musically, it moves between fragile restraint and intense condensation. "'Cut Stitch Scar' touches the core of our willful humanity as well as the precarious yet precious nature of existence," the two musicians reveal deeply.

"CocoRosie has been the center of our lives for so many years," says Bianca Casady. Throughout their career, the sisters have been both infantilized and revered, fetishized and mirrored. Yet CocoRosie has always followed their own uncompromising path – making the roughest, most vulnerable, and tender facets of human experience audible.

They will bring this unique artistic signature back to the stage(s) in June 2026 – including at the WUK in Vienna, where an equally extraordinary and intense concert evening is to be expected.
