Bike & Hike: Präau Hochalm & Tagkopf

This guided Bike & Hike Tour combines the best of both worlds: powerful mountain biking and a scenic summit experience. The bike ride is sporty and enjoyable as it takes you along the forest road from Dorfgastein up to the Präau Hochalm – the highest alpine pasture in Dorfgastein at an elevation of 1,808 meters. Over 1,000 meters of elevation gain are efficiently conquered, the pulse quickens, and anticipation builds. At the approximately 150-year-old, traditionally managed alpine pasture, the bike is parked, and hiking boots are laced up. The trail continues for about an hour to the summit of Tagkopf – where an impressive panoramic view of the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountains awaits.

Back at the rustic Präau Alm, you can enjoy homemade regional delicacies and true alpine idyll before heading back down to the valley with plenty of riding fun and flow. A sporty nature experience for all who want to combine movement, panorama, and culinary delights.
