Herbert Grassl, whose church opera for Mattsee in 2013, "Harisliz - the Desertion of Tassilo," is unforgettable, presents the world premiere of this evening featuring two stylistically influential string quartets and a fantastic bassoonist in the midst. Philipp Tutzer will also guide us through Telemann's baroque fantasies. The Stadler Quartet will perform a masterpiece by Beethoven and Tchaikovsky's first string quartet, filled with Slavic soul and "Cantabile." Great chamber music from the 18th to the 21st century.
