Emergency Course: Competently Assisting Children in Case of Emergency

HAAG AM HAUSRUCK. A fever seizure, a laceration, or even a swallowed button battery: often, there is only a brief moment of inattention between play and disaster. In May, the Red Cross in the local branch of Haag am Hausruck offers two Monday evenings to learn essential ways to provide assistance in accidents involving children. No prior knowledge is required. When an infant or child suddenly shows severe signs of illness, quick help is needed. Close caregivers can provide "first aid" until a rescue team arrives on site. In addition to well-known basics such as the recovery position or resuscitation, scenarios specifically tailored to children will also be addressed. These include, for example, fever seizures, pseudocroup, allergic reactions, and poisoning. The first course will take place on Monday, May 4, from 6 PM to 10 PM, and the second one week later on May 11, also from 6 PM to 10 PM.
