The works of Albert Mayr merge sound, movement, time, and space into intense, site-specific experiences. Through minimal interventions in familiar objects or actions, he shifts their meaning and opens up new realms of perception. His works navigate the tension between functionality and dysfunctionality, between the ordinary and the extraordinary. By subtly altering what seems self-evident, he sharpens our awareness of the overlooked and invites us to experience the world more consciously and in greater detail.
