Guided Tour with Care Tips
In early June, the rose garden displays its full splendor. Michael Büchner, a gardener at the Rosarium, points out rarities during this tour, answers questions, and provides tips on the proper care of roses.
Roses are among the most popular flowers worldwide. They enchant with their incomparable beauty, distinctive fragrance, and extraordinary variety. There are thousands of rose varieties that have emerged through breeding and crossbreeding. Without varieties and subspecies, there are approximately 200 true species.
The Linz Rosarium is designed in the style of an English rose garden and showcases over 470 different rose varieties. Divided into classes such as Centifolia, Moss, Remontant, and Bourbon roses, it features both modern varieties and "old" roses that are no longer commercially available.
Especially during the peak blooming season in May and June, the rose garden transforms into a fragrant sea of blossoms. Additionally, the adjacent sun terrace invites visitors to linger, relax, and marvel.
