The Orphanage Mass got its name because Mozart composed it for the inauguration of the Vienna Orphanage Church. Mozart "conducted this solemn music as a twelve-year-old boy in the presence of the imperial court." The Orphanage Mass captivates with its boldness, joyfulness, and the lively contrasts that take on operatic traits in the young Mozart's work. Additionally, you will hear the Marian antiphon "Regina Coeli" by the 21-year-old Mozart.

Under the direction of János Czifra, the masterpieces will be intensively worked on by choir singers from around the world in several workshops. The grand finale will be the performance featuring renowned soloists and the Vienna Cathedral Orchestra at St. Stephen's Cathedral.
