Classical & Marimba - Orchestra Leibnitz

We warmly invite you to a diverse concert program. The first part of the evening is dedicated to two works that are particularly close to the heart of our new conductor. Together with him, we are pleased to present the Overture Coriolan by Ludwig van Beethoven and Symphony No. 102 by Joseph Haydn. Two masterpieces of the classical era that combine power, drama, and elegance.

The second part of the concert will be lively and modern: a young, talented musician from the Leibnitz Music School will perform as a soloist on the marimba. Together with the orchestra, he will interpret the Concerto for Orchestra and Marimba by Emmanuel Séjourné. This work is considered a milestone in percussion literature and blends lyrical passages with influences from jazz, rock, and flamenco – a fascinating sound world full of rhythm and energy.

The grand finale will be an exhilarating medley featuring music by Duke Ellington. We look forward to delighting you with our music!
