// EsRAP & Marino Formenti, 7:30 PM @Seebühne
The Viennese-Turkish sibling duo EsRAP has always celebrated being "Tschusch" (a colloquial term for foreigners): foreigners with pleasure. However, being different is often associated with exclusion – and that hurts. These experiences drive Esra and Enes Özmen to think beyond the individual. EsRAP are not "to blame" for their own exclusion, even if it sometimes feels that way. Politically engaged, combative, and yet vulnerable – this is how the press described their first performances with Marino Formenti, the exceptional Italian pianist living in Vienna, who combines rap, Turkish Arabesque, and Balkan sounds with classical and contemporary piano music. Support comes from DJ King at the turntables.
// Tahereh Nourani & Students of the University of Art Linz, 9:30 PM @Lunzer Saal
In collaboration with students from the University of Art Linz, an audiovisual work on empathy & resistance was created under the guidance of Katharina Mayrhofer and Tina Frank. Presented in the Lunzer Saal with the ceiling installation "Media Lu(n)z," it creates a light-sound space on the floor that completely surrounds the audience. Immediately afterward, DJ King continues the musical journey at the turntables, while the visitors gradually transition from lying down to standing and dancing.
