Multivoiced Against the Patriarchy
Feminists are strongest when they raise their voices together. The femchor, as a self-organized queer feminist choir, aims to be just that: a strong community of women, trans/non-binary, and genderqueer individuals who sing in harmony against the patriarchy.
Under the direction of Nastasja Ronck, the singers of the femchor bring a repertoire that ranges from pop songs to songs from feminist resistance, as well as spoken pieces, to the stage. Passionate, loving, and loud in their performance, they captivate and inspire their audience to make the world a little more feminist and equitable. Because the patriarchy doesn't sound beautiful – but the femchor does!
For one evening, the Donaubühne will become a resonance space for this vocal uprising.
