What began on July 13, 2001, in Eislingen an der Fils as a teenage band is today one of the most enduring, successful, and simultaneously likable punk rock institutions in Germany. With boundless energy, a lot of humor, and a distinctive sense for great melodies, ITCHY played their way from the first youth center concerts to the big stages across Europe. Early on, Sibbi, Panzer, and Max decided to uncompromisingly follow their own path: without huge marketing budgets, but with tireless work, seemingly endless joy in performing, and a loyal fanbase behind them. Over the years, the three-man band developed into an impressive live phenomenon: well over 1,000 concerts in more than 20 countries and a reputation for shows that are equally precise, captivating, humorous, and emotional. The band manages the rare balancing act between punk rock attitude, melodic catchiness, and a clear stance on social and political issues. Musically, ITCHY has continuously evolved, releasing new albums with consistent regularity and creating anthems that have long become a staple of the German punk rock scene. Despite their long history, ITCHY has never stood still. Instead of nostalgia, a strong drive forward still dominates: new songs, new tours, two books, their own podcast, and an ever-growing audience. What remains is the unwavering belief that music can connect people – and that one can represent their convictions loudly and without compromise. In 2026, the band will celebrate its 25th anniversary. A milestone that underscores the extraordinary consistency and authenticity of this trio. ITCHY stands for lived DIY spirit, great passion, and the simple, often forgotten truth: at the end of each day, we are three friends trying to make music – not three musicians trying to be friends.
