Trumpet Magic in Advent - Annakirche

Get into the Christmas spirit with the Trumpet Magic - a program featuring the most beautiful Christmas carols and festive music, masterfully interpreted by trumpeter and organist! Inspiring text interventions contribute to a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. The wonderfully restored Annakirche, a baroque hidden gem near the State Opera in downtown Vienna, opens its doors for contemplative Advent concerts. The program spans from Viennese classical music to the most beautiful national and international Advent songs, all expertly performed by the trumpeter and organist - a joyful and reflective evening that sets the mood for the upcoming Christmas celebration and should not be missed. The heated church, consecrated by Empress Maria Theresa, is adorned with magnificent frescoes by Daniel Gran, the artist who also created the fresco cycle in the dome of the Festsaal of the National Library. The Trumpet Magic in the Annakirche invites moments of pause – moments to escape the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas season and refocus on what truly matters.
