Advent concerts in the Capuchin Church

Get into the Christmas spirit with a program of the most beautiful Advent songs and festive music, featuring the Vienna Imperial Quartet and solo singing. In the heated Capuchin Church, the Advent concerts create a celebratory arc from festive trumpet music to selected texts and the most beautiful Christmas carols – a wonderful way to prepare for the upcoming Christmas celebration both reflectively and joyfully. The Capuchin Church is centrally located near the State Opera in downtown Vienna and is known for the Capuchin Crypt (Imperial Crypt), which served as the burial place for the Habsburgs for centuries. Its simple interior is also its strength – visitors are fascinated by the wooden furnishings.

Combo Ticket: Combine your concert visit with the world's most famous crypt, the Capuchin Crypt. The burial site of around 150 members of the Habsburg family since 1618 allows you to experience 400 years of Austrian and European history. Marvel at the tombs of famous rulers, such as Emperor Franz Joseph and his beautiful wife Elisabeth "Sisi," or the impressive double coffin of Empress Maria Theresa. The last entry to the crypt is at 5:30 PM, making it a perfect combination with the concert.
